8. INDUSTRIAL ACTION
8.1 The Union shall not sanction any industrial action involving a partial or complete cessation of work by members against an employer unless the decision making bodies at national or regional or branch level with jurisdiction shall supervise the holding of such a secret ballot. Any industrial action taken in the absence of such approval or secret ballot shall be unconstitutional.
8.2 Subject to the outcome of any secret ballot of affected members which may be held, the National Executive Committee with, jurisdiction may resolve to terminate any industrial action embarked upon by the union.
8.3 A secret ballot shall be held to determine whether any industrial action embarked upon should be terminated if 20% of members involved in such action requisition the National Executive Committee or, in the case Branch disputes, the Branch Executive Committee with jurisdiction, in writing, for one. The respective Branch Executive Committee shall supervise the holding of such a secret ballot.
