Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission at the Mineworkers Union of Namibia (MUN) is threefold: to organize, defend, and protect the rights and interests of our members; to educate our members on their rights and obligations through comprehensive programs and resources; and to foster close cooperation and solidarity among Mineworkers as well as with other industrial unions or union federations, both within and outside Namibia. By advocating for fair labor practices, improved working conditions, and equitable treatment, we aim to create a robust and united front. Simultaneously, our commitment to education empowers members with knowledge, ensuring they are well-informed participants in shaping their work environment. Furthermore, our dedication to collaboration extends beyond our immediate community, seeking partnerships that amplify our collective voice and strengthen the broader labor movement. Through these pillars, we aspire to create a future where MUN stands as a defender of labor rights, a source of knowledge and empowerment, and a driving force for solidarity.
