The Mineworkers Union of Namibia vehemently condemns the recent racially motivated violence against a farm worker in Groblersdal, South Africa. These despicable acts have no place in a society that values equality and justice for all. Farm workers are the backbone of our agricultural industry, and they deserve to work in an environment free from discrimination and violence. We call for swift and decisive action to bring the perpetrators to justice and ensure the safety and protection of all farm workers.

As a Trade union dedicated to upholding the rights of workers, we stand in solidarity with the affected farm worker and his family. We urge law enforcement and local authorities to take immediate steps to address the systemic issues that perpetuate such injustice.
