- Collective Bargaining: We negotiate with employers on your behalf to secure better
pay, working conditions, and benefits. By joining a the MUN, members have a stronger
collective voice and are more likely to have their demands and concerns addressed. - Job Security: The Union often assists their members in safeguarding their jobs. They
can negotiate job protection measures, such as seniority rights, fair disciplinary
procedures, and access to fair grievance procedures, helping members feel more secure
in their employment. - Better Pay and Benefits: The Union strive to secure better wages, annual salary
increases, and improved benefits for their members. We negotiate with employers on
issues like signified wage, overtime pay, paid time off, medical aid benefits, pensions, and
other forms of compensation. - Improved Working Conditions: The Union advocates for safe and healthy working
conditions by pushing for adequate health and safety standards in the workplace. We
address concerns such as excessive working hours, inadequate breaks, workplace
harassment, and unsafe work practices. - Legal Support: MUN provides round the clock legal advice and support to our members.
We can help with employment-related disputes, legal representation in disciplinary
actions or proceedings, and advice on employment contracts and rights. - Each paid up member is covered through the legal wise expense insurance policy for
any matter arising from a labour dispute at no additional cost to the member. - If you are a member, ex-member of the Mineworkers Union of Namibia (MUN) or
dependent of a former member and you are looking for bridging finance (MSME Loan)
to fund your Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprise. You can apply for a Purchase
Order Finance or Invoice Discounting Facility with the NAMIT SME FUND. - The NAMIT Education Fund is an initiative aimed at assisting the dependents of
MUN members and ex-members pursue higher education courses at universities, vocational
training colleges or other educational institutions within Namibia with registration fees. - MUN funeral Benefit. In that each paid up member of the Union is entitled to a death
benefit of N$ 10 000.00 payable to deceased member’s beneficiaries within 24hours.

of MUN now have an exclusive once in a lifetime investment opportunity to own a direct
stake in the Namibia Mineworkers Holdings Company (NAM-MIC). - Solidarity and Support: Being part of the MUN allows members to connect with
